The 18-year-old ‘keeper joins on a three-year deal, having built an impressive reputation as a young stopper. He is a youth international for Montenegro, and is set to make the step up to Under-21 level this season.
He had yet to appear for Anderlecht’s first-team prior to his move, and having linked up with Tim Sherwood’s men, the youngster will take his role in Villa’s Under-21 side.
Sarkic progressed through the famous Anderlecht academy, and will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of other graduates now playing in the Premier League, such as Romelu Lukaku and Vincent Kompany.
The stopper is not expected to make the step-up to Villa’s first-team in the near future, but it is a step in the right direction for the club as they agree a deal to bring in a promising prospect who looks set to have a bright career ahead of him.
