Olivier Kemen has taken to social networking site Twitter to confirm his departure from Newcastle United.
The highly-rated 18-year-old French midfielder joined Premier League outfit Newcastle from French club Metz in the summer of 2013.
The youngster trained with the Magpies’ first team on many occasions last season, but he failed to make his competitive debut for the club.
Kemen has now left Newcastle for Ligue 1 giants Lyon, with the teenager posting the following message on Twitter which when translated from French reads: “Officially a Lyon player. Really very happy to sign for this great club.”

Back in July, French sports paper L’Equipe claimed that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool were interested in signing Kemen, who is very talented and could be a future star of football.
Lyon have made a very good move in signing the teenager, who is certainly a good investment for the club in years to come.
