Norwich reportedly close to £2.2m Sviatchenko deal with four tipped to leave on loan

Could Norwich City bring in two and temporarily wave goodbye to four more in the coming hours?

According to Sky Sports News, Norwich City could be set for a relatively busy transfer deadline day.

The latest report claims 23-year-old defender Erik Sviatchenko could be on his way to Carrow Road for £2.2million while up to four players could leave on loan.

That quartet is named as Gary Hooper, Ricky van Wolfswinkel, Elliott Bennett and Kyle Lafferty, while an improved offer for Lewis Grabban has not been ruled out.

Norwich are currently 14th in the Premier League after the Canaries picked up four points from their first four matches.

That is not a bad start to life back in the top flight but they will want to get more victories under their belt when they return from international matters later this month.

Sviatchenko currently plays for FC Midtjylland and has featured 117 times for them to date, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists in that time.

He has also been capped twice by Denmark and he could be a very canny addition to Norwich’s squad if he does arrive.
