Jordan Botaka loves the Leeds United fans already.
Leeds United new boy Jordan Botaka is already displaying the passion fans - and the club owner - expect from the club's signings.
The DR Congo international took to Twitter to speak of his passion at signing for the Yorkshire giants, expressing the fact he was emotional.
He went onto later add that he already loved the fans, having been very welcomely received.
His words represent a player desperate to play for Leeds and honoured to wear the shirt.
That was exactly what owner Massimo Cellino demanded, in his comments to the club's official website last week in which he explained he wanted players who had a desire to be at the club.
Discussing at the time Leeds ending their interest in Fernando Forestieri, Cellino said: "“I want players to show a hunger and desire to come here – but he did not.
"It was not about the money. A player could cost £3million, £5m or be a free transfer, but if their mentality isn’t right then I will not sign them for Leeds."
Botaka is hungry to prove himself after signing from Excelsior and if his passion on the pitch matches his words off it, then he has the potential to become a real fan favourite especially if he hits the ground running.
