Could Leeds United sign the Nottingham Forest and Watford players in the coming hours?
According to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have expressed a shock late interest in Watford winger Lloyd Dyer as they look to further strengthen their squad before the latest transfer window slams shut.
Dyer is 32 so he would bring plenty of experience to a relatively young Leeds side, and without an appearance so far this season it seems he is surplus to requirements at Watford.
Last season he played 35 matches in all competitions for the Hornets, scoring four goals and providing three assists in the process, but if he did arrive at Leeds he would surely be little more than back-up to the impressive Stuart Dallas.
The former Brentford man has done well since arriving at Elland Road so a late move for Dyer may confuse some given the younger options that could be secured instead.
The same YEP report claims Leeds have also shown an interest in Nottingham Forest forward Jamie Paterson.
Leeds have already added Chris Wood and Lee Erwin to their striking ranks this summer and also have Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara to call on, but Paterson is said to be on Leeds owner Massimo Cellino’s wish-list with time running out.
