West Brom striker Brown Ideye has sent a message of '100 per cent pure love' to fans of the Midlands club after his departure to Olympiakos was confirmed towards the end of the transfer window.
After leaving the Baggies, the 26-year-old declared his excitement to undertake a new chapter in his footballing career.
And he explained that he wants to play games and enjoy his football at Olympiakos - which may or may not be a dig at West Brom's current setup.
Thanks @WBAFCofficial and the fans for all the support, from the first day i signed till now all what they show me is 100% pure LOVE.— Ideye Brown MON (@OfficialIdeye) September 1, 2015

Football is my life and i want to play every game and enjoy it— Ideye Brown MON (@OfficialIdeye) September 1, 2015
In the end, of course, Ideye simply paid the price for scoring just four Premier League goals last season. Tony Pulis clearly feels a strike force containing Rickie Lambert, Salomon Rondon, Victor Anichebe and even an unhappy Saido Berahino can live without the 26-year-old.
Only last summer, Ideye was West Brom's club-record signing. Now, that feat belongs to Rondon - and the Nigerian is on his way to Olympiakos.
It could all have worked out at the Hawthorns, of course, and Pulis and co may well end up regretting letting Ideye go instead of alternative options. But we'll never know and, after his poor goal return last term, there can be few who will dispute the figures behind the sale.
