The former Tottenham Hotspur man is incensed by the striker.
All the signs have suggested the north London side want to offload Adebayor - and he certainly isn't in the first-team picture at Tottenham.
But no news broke of a sale on Deadline Day - or hasn't yet, at least - and former Spurs man Roberts is incensed by the fact the White Hart Lane outfit have to pay the 'bad apple' for essentially not playing.
What a joke adebayor is he has been paid for last 2 years and not played now he wants paying off make him train 3 times a day bad Apple— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 1, 2015
Meanwhile, he also encouraged Tottenham not to pay over the odds for anyone following the signings of Heung-Min Son and Clinton Njie.
Many Spurs fans will disagree with Roberts's view here but he feels the north London side should not be held to ransom until they find the 'right player.' That will likely mean waiting until January at the earliest.
We have signed 2 forward players last week if we can't get who we want don't waste money wait till we can get the right player— Graham Roberts (@GrahamRoberts4) September 1, 2015
It wasn't the best of Deadline Days in living memory for Tottenham fans, then, and it will be intriguing to see how Mauricio Pochettino manages with the squad currently at his disposal.
Barring any very late twists, of course...
