Gary Neville has his say on Premier League transfer window system

Manchester United 3

The Manchester United legend and Sky Sports pundit took to Twitter to vent his frustrations at the current system in place.

Those behind the scenes in the Premier League must take a closer look at the current system surrounding transfer windows in the top flight, according to Gary Neville.

With the window in England set to slam shut at 6pm today, the Sky Sports pundit and Manchester United stalwart believes a review is required.

Neville made the claims via Twitter, as the media frenzy surrounding the final few hours of the window began to kick into overdrive.

Describing the current furore as a “circus”, the Red Devils legend went on to suggest that a “complete overhaul” is required.

The comments come in the wake of a busy few days for his former club.

French youngster Anthony Martial has already arrived from AS Monaco for a substantial, though as yet unspecified, fee.

Meanwhile, David De Gea's long-awaited move to Real Madrid collapsed after the clubs failed to agree a deal before the close of the Spanish transfer window.

There could yet be more news to come from Old Trafford, with several other big names linked with a move to Manchester United before the deadline passes.
