Alex Song to West Ham United

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has announced on social networking site Twitter that the club have signed Alex Song from Barcelona.

The 27-year-old midfielder has moved to West Ham on a season-long loan deal from Spanish giants Barcelona.

Song, who joined Barcelona from Arsenal in the summer of 2012, played on loan for West Ham last season.

The Cameroonian defensive midfielder featured in 28 Premier League matches for the Hammers during the 2014-15 campaign.

The former Bastia star created 28 chances, had a pass accuracy of 76% and a shot accuracy of 17%, and won 17 headers, 39 dribbles and 73 tackles.

Newcastle United transfers

Olivier Kemen has left Premier League outfit Newcastle United for French club Lyon.

The 18-year-old midfielder posted the following message on his Twitter page on Monday evening:

One Newcastle player who has not left St. James’ Park yet is 30-year-old striker Papiss Cisse.

The Senegal international has been on the books of Newcastle since 2012, but he has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club this summer.

According to The Chronicle, Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in Cisse, who posted the following message on Twitter on Monday amid speculation over his future.
