The latest transfer deadline day news, including Manchester United, Real Madrid, Celtic, Leeds and Southampton.

According to Sky Sports, David de Gea will definitely be staying at Manchester United this summer.

Indeed, Sky Sports report that Real Madrid will not appeal the Manchester United goalkeeper's move falling through, meaning he will remain at Old Trafford at least until January.

Is it good news for Manchester United or will the Spaniard simply sit on the bench for the rest of the Premier League season?

According to BBC Sport, meanwhile, Southampton have agreed an £11.5 million fee for Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Celtic defender has been linked with a move to the Premier League all summer - and the Saints in particular.

And the 24-year-old Dutchman is now reportedly having a medical at Southampton, with a big-money offer from the South Coast club being accepted by Celtic.

Meanwhile, Leeds United signing Jordan Botaka will wear the number 20 shirt at Elland Road.

The 22-year-old was confirmed as a new Leeds recruit on Deadline Day and the Yorkshire club have confirmed that the winger will wear 20 on the back of his shirt.

Leeds fans will no doubt hope Botaka can make a similar start to life at United as fellow wide man Stuart Dallas.
