Tottenham teenager Ismail Azzaoui has joined Wolfsburg.
Tottenham Hotspur today confirmed on their official website that youngster Ismail Azzaoui has left the club and joined German outfit Wolfsburg.
Azzaoui, 17, joined Spurs from Anderlecht last summer, and had been regarded as one of the top emerging talents in the Tottenham youth system
The Belgian playmaker even won the Player of the Tournament award at the National Under-21 Tournament earlier this summer, once again underlining his potential.
However, he won't be working to reach that potential at White Hart Lane, as Azzaoui is on the move again, joining Bundesliga side Wolfsburg earlier today.
The teenager's exit certainly came as something of a surprise considering his reputation in the Spurs youth setup, and it's fair to say that fans were far from pleased with the deal.
Supporters took to Twitter after the move was confirmed, and were virtually unanimous in saying that Spurs would live to regret letting Azzaoui go.
Many branded the deal 'bad business', citing that Azzaoui would be a star of the future, and that Tottenham let him go too easily.
