Report: Watford defender Gabriele Angella set for QPR switch

Watford are all set to let the Italian leave the club before Tuesday.

Watford defender Gabrielle Angella looks set to be the latest player to be on the way out of Vicarage Road before the transfer window slams shut.

Watford need to slash the foreign players in their squad as at the moment they have too many to register in the Premier League.

That has already seen the likes of Daniel Pudil and Fernando Forestieri dumped, with Matej Vydra also in line for the boot.

Angella is said to be the next one on the agenda.

It is reported by Tutto Mercato Web that the Italian’s move to QPR is all but done and he will complete the move before the transfer window shuts.

Angella played 36 times for Watford last season but has been struggling for first-team football this season – after Watford brought players in this summer in his position such as Sebastian Prodl, Nathan Ake and Miguel Britos.

So far the report does not clarify whether the Angella deal will see him join QPR on a permanent deal or a loan spell but it certainly seems like Watford will be seeing the Italian out of the exit door this week.
