Rangers fans react on Twitter to Barrie McKay's performance against Queen of the South

Rangers coasted to victory over Queen of the South on Sunday.

Rangers made it eight wins in eight games under new manager Mark Warburton with a 5-1 thumping of Queen of the South on Sunday.

Two Martyn Waghorn penalties as well as strikes from Andrew Halliday, Jason Holt and Barrie McKay put Rangers 5-0 up, before Aidan Smith pulled back a late consolation for Queen of the South.

The star of the show was certainly winger McKay, who has made a sensational star to the season under new manager Warburton.

The 20-year-old wide man, signed from Kilmarnock back in 2011, was tipped to be an up-and-coming talent upon his arrival, but he has spent the last 18 months out on loan.

Now back in the first team picture, McKay is impressing under Warburton's guidance, and his goal against Queen of the South just demonstrated his improvement so far.

Fans noted his display too after the game, taking to Twitter to praise the Ibrox youngster's performance, with many suggesting that he is a completely different player thanks to Warburton.

Others suggested that McKay was the clear man of the match against Queen of the South, before some blame was fired at former manager Ally McCoist for not using McKay more regularly.
