Norwich's Andreu set for Rotherham loan

HITC Sport understands Norwich City midfielder Tony Andreu is lined up for a loan move to Rotherham United.

Rotherham United are in talks to sign Norwich City's Tony Andreu on a season-long loan deal, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Norwich boss Alex Neil signed Andreu from his former club Hamilton in January but the Frenchman has yet to start a match for the Canaries.

Andreu caught the eye at Hamilton scoring 12 goals in 23 games to make him top scorer in the Scottish Premiership at the time before his move to Carrow Road.

However, the former Monaco trainee has struggled to break into the Norwich side since his arrival in Norfolk making just six substitute appearances last season and one cameo appearance off the bench this term, ironically against Rotherham in the Capital One Cup.

With his first-team chances set to be limited at Norwich this season, Neil is happy to send Andreu out on loan to get some regular action under his belt.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans is keen to add to his attacking options before the close of the window as he looks to help his side recover from their poor start to the season with only one point from their opening five Championship games.
