HITC Sport understands Norwich City are closing in on the signing of Dynamo Kiev striker Dieumerci Mbokani on a season-long loan.
Dynamo Kiev striker Dieumerci Mbokani is set to fly into the UK on Monday to finalise a move to Norwich City, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Norwich have been searching for striking reinforcements all summer, but have so far been frustrated in their attempts to sign the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers' Benik Afobe, Stoke City's Jon Walters and Italian forward Mattia Destro.
They have now switched their attentions to DR Congo international Mbokani who they have held a long-term interest in.
Mbokani has found himself out-of-favour at Kiev and Norwich have moved quickly to set up a loan deal for the powerful forward.
The 29-year-old has a wealth of experience having enjoyed spells at Anderlecht, Standard Liege, Monaco and Wolfsburg prior to his move to Kiev in 2013.
Mbokani's arrival at Carrow Road could pave the way for the currently suspended Lewis Grabban to complete his controversial return to Bournemouth.
Grabban was suspended by Norwich last week for going AWOL at the club's team hotel before their Capital One Cup clash at Rotherham, after the club rejected several offers from Bournemouth to sign him.
