Bristol City are closing in on the signing of Leicester City defender Liam Moore on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Moore has found himself down the pecking order in Claudio Ranieri's plans this season with the summer arrivals of Robert Huth and Yohan Benalouane increasing competition for places at the King Power Stadium.
A number of Championship clubs, including Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion have been linked with a move for Moore, but Bristol City are set to win the race for his services.
Moore played for England's Under-21s at this summer's European Championship finals and he is highly-regarded at Leicester.
The 22-year-old had a short spell out on loan at Brentford at the back end of last season and he is keen to go out on loan again to play if he is not going to be playing regularly at Leicester.
Moore was a key member of Leicester's Championship-winning side but both the club and player believe he will benefit from playing regular first-team football this season
