Liverpool are set to send highly-rated midfielder Sergi Canos on loan to Brentford, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Canos, who joined Liverpool in 2013 from Spanish giants Barcelona, has yet to make his first-team debut at Anfield, but he is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at the club.
The 18-year-old schemer has been a regular in Liverpool's Under-21s side and his skills have won him plenty of admirers.
A number of clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in signing Canos on loan, but Brentford are at the head of the queue to land the Spaniard.
Brentford head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen is keen to add to his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and has lined up a deal to take Canos on loan.
Liverpool are happy to let Canos go out on loan so that he can gain some valuable first-team experience before returning to Anfield to challenge for a first-team place in Brendan Rodgers' side.
