Nottingham Forest have signed Ryan Mendes on loan from Lille.
The French club confirmed the news via their official twitter account, that the 25-year-old winger has joined the Championship side on loan for the season.
Mendes hails from Cape Verde, and has been at Lille since 2012, having joined from Le Havre for £2.1 million.
The winger has five goals in 22 international games for Cape Verde, and plays on the right.
He has played in three Ligue 1 matches this season for Lille, but from the bench, amassing 82 minutes of football. Mendes scored eight goals in 66 games for the club.
Last season he made 31 appearances, including four in the Champions League qualifiers, scoring against Grasshoppers.
The French deadline closed on Monday evening, prompting the clubs to push the deal through.
Forest's deal to sign Mendes on loan includes an option to buy him permanently. He currently has a contract at Lille until 2017.
