Report: Denmark U21 international Pione Sisto turns down West Ham move

West Ham United have been linked with a move for Midtjylland winger Pione Sisto.

According to a report in Todomercadoweb, Midtjylland winger Pione Sisto has turned down a move to West Ham United after a fee was agreed.

The Hammers have been on the lookout for further attacking additions ahead of the upcoming transfer deadline, with a winger very much a primary objective.

As reported recently by The Sun, West Ham sent scouts to watch Sisto in action for the Danish outfit during their recent Europa League victory over fellow Premier League side Southampton.

However, after having a bid in the region of €7 million [roughly £5 million] accepted, TMW assure that the player has surprisingly opted against joining the East Londoners.

What are West Ham set to miss out on?

If the reports are correct, West Ham are set to miss out on one of the hottest prospects in Scandinavia as the 20-year-old continues to wow spectators for early table-toppers Midtjylland.

The Uganda-born Denmark U21 international has blistering pace and bags of skill out on the wing as Southampton recently found out during their 2-1 aggregate defeat to the Danish outfit.

Over the next few days, it’s vitally important for Slaven Bilic’s side to bring in much-needed width as they look to strike the right sort of balance in midfield, especially in home matches.

On the road, the club have been utterly brilliant but when it comes to breaking teams down in East London, West Ham have struggled and their lack of pace in wide areas has been a major weakness.
