Queen of the South 1-5 Rangers; Waghorn brace keeps 100% record alive

Rangers continued their winning run under Mark Warburton with a 5-1 win over Queen of the South.

Rangers made it eight wins out of eight under Mark Warburton this afternoon with a comfortable 5-1 win over Queen of the South at Palmerston Park.

Warburton has made a flying start to life at Ibrox, and having taken his side on the road this afternoon, he will be delighted to have watched his side thrash Queen of the South.

Andrew Halliday gave Rangers the lead in the 28th minute, and from that point on, Rangers moved through the gears and coasted past their opponents.

Martyn Waghorn converted a second half penalty to make it 2-0, before Jason Holt and Barrie McKay added goals to put the game beyond doubt.

Waghorn's second penalty of the game gave Rangers a fifth, before Aidan Smith bagged a consolation for Queen of the South.

The result keeps Rangers' 100% record under Warburton in tact, and with 30 goals in eight games, they simply can't stop scoring right now.
