Chris Wood scored the winner for Leeds United against Derby County in the Championship on Saturday.

Southend United attacker Noel Hunt has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Chris Wood will prove to be a success at Leeds United.

The New Zealand international striker moved to the West Yorkshire club from Premier League outfit Leicester City earlier this summer.

The 23-year-old has made a good start to his Leeds career and has already been among the goals.

Wood has scored three goals and created seven chances in five Championship appearances for the Whites so far this season.

The latest goal for the former West Bromwich Albion striker came on Saturday afternoon, when he scored the winner against Derby County away from home at the iPro Stadium in the Championship.

The former Hamilton Wanderers man found the target in the 88th minute with a superb effort, as Leeds registered a 2-1 victory over the Rams.

Former Leeds attacker Hunt seems to be impressed with Wood’s start at Leeds and appears to rate him highly.
