Manchester City fans react on Twitter to Mangala's performance against Watford

Man City Etihad

Manchester City defeated Watford 2-0 on Saturday but what did Blues fans make of Eliaquim Mangala's contribution?

Manchester City maintained their 100 per cent start to the new season when they defeated Watford 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Raheem Sterling scored his first competitive goal since arriving from Liverpool earlier this summer before midfielder Fernandinho finished the job and ensured Manuel Pellegrini’s side took all three points.

City had to be patient with Watford holding their own and going in at half-time with the scores level, but Sterling broke the deadlock just two minutes after the restart and from there the hosts ran out relatively comfortable winners.

Saying that, City had their defence to thank for another solid performance, with Eliaquim Mangala impressing and suggesting recent signing Nicolas Otamendi will not walk straight into the starting line-up when he gets his work permit.

The former FC Porto defender took time to settle at City but his performances this season suggest he has well and truly found his feet.

Following the match we took to Twitter to see what City fans thought of Mangala’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
