Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Firmino's performance against West Ham

Liverpool lost 3-0 to West Ham United on Saturday but what did Reds fans make of Roberto Firmino's contribution?

When Liverpool signed Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim earlier this summer it was hailed as a master-stroke.

After all, the Brazilian international finished last season with 10 goals and 12 assists and the previous season had netted 22 times and set up an additional 16.

With an average of a goal almost every three games, the attacking midfielder headed to Anfield with a huge reputation and a similarly hefty price-tag. But four games into his Liverpool career, Firmino is yet to score or assist and some fans are already getting frustrated.

It is frankly absurd to expect the 23-year-old to hit the ground running, but that seems to be the feeling among some Liverpool fans who vented their frustration after the club’s 3-0 defeat against West Ham United.

Other fans were less critical and felt that Firmino should have stayed on the pitch until the very end as he was the club’s most creative outlet following the dismissal of Philippe Coutinho.

After the match we took to Twitter to see what Liverpool fans thought of Firmino’s latest performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
