Could Newcastle United sell the Frenchman in what remains of the summer transfer window?
Chronicle Live has followed up on a report initially published in the print copy of the Sunday Mirror, which claimed Newcastle United midfielder Yoan Gouffran is a target for Championship side Hull City in what remains of the summer transfer window.
In fact, the report states the Tigers boss could be willing to offer £4.2million for the 29-year-old who does not appear to be in Newcastle manager Steve McClaren’s regular plans this season.
So far Gouffran has not featured in any of the Premier League squads and his only action came against Northampton Town in the Capital One Cup.
Gouffran has featured 88 times for Newcastle to date, scoring 12 goals and providing eight assists, but he is at an age when he will not want to be waiting on the side-lines watching his teammates playing week in, week out.
Chronicle Live follows up on the claim that Hull are prepared to bid more than £4million for a player who still has two years left on his Newcastle contract.
And when you consider the players Newcastle have signed this season and the player’s recent omissions it would be no surprise if he did move on before 6:00pm on Tuesday.
