Crystal Palace duo react on Twitter to Chelsea triumph

Crystal Palace defeated Chelsea 2-1 away from home in the Premier League on Saturday.

Crystal Palace duo Alex McCarthy and Bakary Sako have taken to social networking site Twitter to express their delight at the win against Chelsea away from home on Saturday afternoon.

Palace staged somewhat of an upset as they got the better of the Blues 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s side were favourites to pick up all three points at home, but the defending English champions failed to do so.

After a goalless first half, visiting Palace took the lead when Sako drove in after connecting with Yannick Bolasie's low cross.

Former Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao headed in his first goal for Chelsea in the 79th minute to restore parity, but Joel Ward restored the Eagles’ lead just two minutes later.

Following the victory, Palace stars McCarthy and Sako took to Twitter to revel in the triumph.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Stamford Bridge, hosts Chelsea had 64% of the possession, took 26 shots of which nine were on target, and earned seven corners.

Visiting Palace had just 36% of the possession, took 13 shots of which six were on target and earned seven corners.
