The new Villarreal forward, who failed to settle in North London, made it two goals in two for the Yellow Submarine last night.
Tottenham fans will be scratching their heads after former striker Roberto Soldado continued his goalscoring exploits for new club Villarreal last night.
The Spain international started the clash against Espanyol at El Madrigal and was the driving force behind the hosts coming back from a goal down to win 3-1.
Soldado was signed at great expense two summers ago by the White Hart Lane side after the world record sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
The ex-Valencia attacker, who was lethal in his homeland for the Mestalla outfit, did not take to English football and spent the majority of last season on the sidelines as a back-up option in North London.
However, despite Soldado being reduced to something of a joke figure at Tottenham, it appears that he has re-found his killer instinct upon his return to Spain and will be a key figure for Villarreal this season.
