Tottenham fans sum up Soldado's latest performance in one word on Twitter

The Spaniard sits at the top of the La Liga scorers' charts, having only left Tottenham Hotspur recently.

The Urban Dictionary defines the word: 'To consistently and inevitably fail to live up to expectations. To bottle it.' But now there's an added meaning - and Roberto Soldado is the living embodiment.

Indeed, those that don't quite make it at Tottenham these days often end up succeeding elsewhere. And Soldado is doing just that at Villarreal.

It's early days, of course, but the 30-year-old has netted two goals in two La Liga games since leaving the north London side.

Some will say he looks like a very different player yet, in truth, Soldado is the same player, just in a different system and setting.

For whatever reason, through perhaps the fault of his managers, team-mates and not forgetting his own, the Spaniard ultimately failed at White Hart Lane. But leaving Tottenham has allowed him to flourish extremely early in his Villarreal career.

The outstanding statistic: Soldado has already doubled the amount of Premier League goals he scored for Spurs last season.

Naturally, then, the Tottenham faithful had plenty to say about the 30-year-old on Twitter after his latest performance on Friday night. And a lot of them have summed Soldado up in one word - back we come to it: 'Spursy.'
