The DR Congo international is all set to leave the Belgian club this summer.

Celtic have been linked with plenty of left-backs this summer, as it is an area of the Celtic team that they could improve upon.

An approach for Mitchell Dijks proved unsuccessful earlier this summer and plenty of other names have been mentioned.

Now it looks as though a new name is on the shortlist, according to reports in Belgium.

Walfoot.be is reporting that Celtic have been contacted about the possibility of signing DR Congo international defender Fabrice N’Sakala from Anderlecht this summer.

The French-born defender joined Anderlecht in 2013 from Troyes in France and is a former French youth international.

The 25-year-old is however struggling for regular first-team football at the Constant Vanden Stock and the Brussels club are open to letting him leave this summer.

Do Celtic need him?

A new left-back certainly would not hurt.

The club have long-term incumbent Emilio Izaguirre – but fans have not been impressed by his start to the season. Charlie Mulgrew is in reserve for the team but he has recently been playing better at centre-back and Celtic are certainly in need of a new left-back option. Tyler Blackett is arriving, and the Manchester United man can play there, but is better in the heart of defence.

The problem however is that Celtic are reportedly outpriced already, according to the report, and would need to do some heavy negotiating with Anderlecht to get their man.
