The teenager was in sensational form for Leeds this afternoon.
Leeds United picked up their first win of the season today, defeating Derby County at the iPro Stadium in a rare away win against The Rams.
It was a well-earned win from Leeds, who would have felt aggrieved at not already picking up three points this season.
The result means Leeds remain unbeaten after 90 minutes this season.
Goals from new signings Tom Adeyemi and Chris Wood did the trick for Leeds today, but there is no doubt that the return of their teenage star Lewis Cook was a massive boost to the team’s performance.
The midfielder has been serving a suspension for a red card he picked up against local rivals Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup.
Today however he was imperial in the heart of midfield. His passing and control of the game were second to none and he really helped the game tick over from the middle of the park.
He was not alone in putting in a fantastic performance for the Leeds team today but he was certainly noticed by the fans on Twitter.
Here are some of the best Tweets regarding Cook’s performance this afternoon…
