John Aldridge's livid reaction on Twitter sums up Liverpool's miserable display

The Reds were swept off the park by West Ham at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United were too good for Liverpool on Saturday afternoon as they beat Brendan Rodgers' men 3-0 at Anfield.

But the Merseyside outfit did themselves no favours with an insipid display, individual errors and collective mediocrity costing Liverpool dearly once again.

And former striker John Aldridge's reaction on Twitter summed up a miserable day for the Reds. Indeed, he lambasted a 'totally uninspiring' Liverpool side and also made a comment about the referee's performance after two sendings off and so many cards given.

But Aldridge did credit West Ham, suggesting Slaven Bilic's side 'totally deserved' their three-goal victory.

It's a strange situation to be in for the Hammers, of course, who now have two away wins out of two but have still looked awful at Upton Park.

Not as bad as Liverpool did on Saturday, though, and there should be serious questions asked of Rodgers after another clueless afternoon. The Anfield outfit started their Premier League campaign encouragingly but the undeniable fact now is that, in their last five league games, Liverpool have lost 6-1 at Stoke City and 3-0 at home to West Ham.
