Celtic manager Ronny Deila is excited after the club completed the signing of Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett.
The 21-year-old defender, who played ten Premier League games for United last season, has left Old Trafford for a season with Celtic.
Manager Deila has been searching for centre back and left back additions all summer, and he has now killed the proverbial two birds with one stone by signing Blackett.
A versatile defender who can play at centre back and left back, Blackett should play an important role in the Celtic squad this season, and follows his former United team-mate Saidy Janko to Celtic Park.
Blackett was paraded in front of the Celtic fans at half time today as they defeated St. Johnstone 3-1 at Celtic Park, with the defender becoming Celtic's sixth signing of the summer.
Manager Ronny Deila has spoken to the club's official Twitter account after completing the deal and whilst he admitted that Blackett 'will bring quality' to the Celtic side, he will only found out his best position next month once he has settled into training and played some games.

RD: "He really wanted to come and play for Celtic and he’ll be a good signing."— Celtic Football Club (@celticfc) August 29, 2015

With just three days to go until the closure of the summer transfer window, Deila must now consider whether to bring in any more new players, or make Blackett his final arrival - though the future of Virgil van Dijk, who could end up being replaced by Blackett, could have a huge bearing on Deila's dealings.
