Here is how Chelsea and Crystal Palace will line up for this afternoon’s match:
Chelsea welcome Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge today as Jose Mourinho’s side look to build on their hard-fought 3-2 victory against West Bromwich Albion last time out.
The Blues held firm despite being down to 10 men after John Terry was sent off and the Chelsea skipper is subsequently suspended for this match with Gary Cahill deputising alongside Kurt Zouma.
Chelsea only have four points so far this season and they will be hoping to move up the table with a victory against Alan Pardew’s side this afternoon.
But Palace will also be hoping to add to the six points they have already secured and potentially climb into the top four as a result.
Today sees Mourinho take charge of Chelsea for the 100th time at Stamford Bridge in the league and with just one loss in the previous 99 meetings he will be quietly confident of marking the moment with three more points.
Palace do however have a fine recent record away from Selhurst Park, winning seven of their last nine such games under Pardew.
