Tyler Blackett deal
Celtic are set to sign Tyler Blackett on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United today, according to The Scottish Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that the Scottish Premiership champions will make the move permanent next summer by paying United a transfer fee of £3 million.
The 21-year-old defender will reportedly travel to Glasgow today in order to put pen to paper on the deal.
Ryan Christie bid
The Scottish Sun has also claimed that Celtic have launched a £500,000 bid for Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder Ryan Christie.
Darnell Fisher comments
One Celtic player who will not feature for the first team this season is defender Darnell Fisher.
The 21-year-old right-back moved to the Bhoys’ Scottish Premiership rivals St. Johnstone on a season-long loan deal earlier this month.
Fisher, who is not eligible to play for St. Johnstone against Celtic away from home at Celtic Park this afternoon, is happy with his decision.
“I was keen to get out on loan," the youngster told The Scottish Sun. "At the start of pre-season the gaffer said no but he came round to the idea.
“It has been disappointing not to make the breakthrough this season but that’s football. You have to accept it and just move on. There’s a lot of competition.”
Fisher is also disappointed to see his parent club Celtic fail to progress to the group stage of the Champions League.
“I feel for the boys because I know how much it meant to them trying to reach the group stages," said the 21-year-old. “They just have to dust themselves down. At Celtic you want to win every game."
