I guess I understand Ashley Young being there, but his partner? Just odd!
Adidas has decided to look to Nike's 2002 World Cup adverts for some inspiration for their new #Bethedifference campaign by holding a 2v2 skills tournament. The event saw pairings from the likes of Manchester United, AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and Real Madrid take part, and a unlikely pair managed to make it to the final.
Now, Manchester United have plenty of skilful players in their ranks - Wayne Rooney, Memphis Depay, Juan Mata - but they decided to use Ashley Young and Morgan Schneiderlin to take on the world.
And guess what? The unlikely duo managed to managed to get beat by an even unlikelier paring of Riccardo Montolivo and Philippe Mexes from Italian giants AC Milan.
The Red Devils duo lost 3-1 in terms of silky tricks – nope we have no idea either – but as you can see in this video, there is some fancy footwork on show!
With Manchester United and Chelsea both failing, it was up to Javi Martinez and Julian Green from Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich to take home the trophy.
Never mind United fans, there's always next year...
