Stuart McCall predicts Rangers’ 2015-16 campaign

Will Rangers win the Scottish Championship title this season?

Stuart McCall has told Sky Sports that Rangers will win the Scottish Championship title this season.

The former Rangers boss believes that Hibernian can push the Gers, but only if they sign a striker before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, McCall has written off Rangers’ chances of winning a cup competition this campaign.

“I think the momentum is with Rangers,” McCall told Sky Sports this morning. “They have got by far the strongest squad.

"Do I think they will win the league? I certainly do. I think if Hibs bring a striker in, they might push them…

"They (Rangers) meet St Johnstone in the (Scottish League) Cup. I don’t believe they can win silverware.”

Rangers have made a strong start to the 2015-16 Scottish Championship campaign and are in great form at the moment.

Mark Warburton’s side find themselves at the top of the league table at the moment with nine points from three matches.

The Glasgow outfit have also progressed to the third round of the Scottish League Cup, where they will take on St. Johnstone.

Rangers will take on Queen of the South away from home at Palmerston Park in Dumfries in the Championship on Sunday.

James Fowler’s side are currently second in the table, having also won all three of their league games so far.
