Report: Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci keen on potential Italian return

Elland Road Revie Stand

The centre-back has recently been linked with moves to Atalanta and Bologna.

Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has been heavily linked with an exit away from Elland Road in the last week or so.

Bellusci is wanted by both Atalanta and Bologna in his Italian homeland, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Now it is reported in Italy that the centre-back is keen on a potential move to the latter club mentioned.

Calciomercato are reporting that Bellusci is open to a move back to Italy, but that Uwe Rosler is blocking any current departure. The report goes on to state that Leeds could let him go if they find a replacement for the player.

This would represent a massive U-turn from the defender.

It was a little over a month ago that his agent Silvio Pagliari told Tutto Mercato Web that he and his Italian team-mate Mirco Antenucci would ‘stay at Leeds’ this season.

Leeds have been linked with a move for Leicester City defender Liam Moore in recent times and Rosler saw the England under-21 international, who played under him during a loan spell at Brentford, play for Leicester in a League Cup tie against Bury this week.
