To be played on Saturday 29th August 2015 at 12:45. Venue: St. James' Park, Newcastle
Odds: Newcastle 21/4, Draw 10/3, Arsenal 4/6
Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren will be hoping that his team can take some confidence from their draw against Manchester United, into their game against Arsenal.
The Magpies have home advantage for the match and should be looking to give their fans something to shout about, as they look to banish the memories of last season.
It’s still early days in terms of the season, but a first win for the club will help them to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.
Arsenal are searching for a little bit of consistency and need to play far better than they did against Liverpool earlier this week.
The Gunners need to try and get on a winning run, because they can’t afford to concede much ground on their main rivals in the title race, which just gives them more to do later into the season.
A win will also satisfy some of the fans who have been calling for the club to do more business in the transfer window, with doubts over the strength of Arsenal’s squad in certain positions.
