The pundit and former Sunderland man didn't enjoy his finest moment on social media...
Former Sunderland man Micky Gray has suggested three potential signings Dick Advocaat should make before the end of the transfer window.
The only problem: they are terrible.
The pundit took to Twitter on Friday afternoon and proposed the following to supporters:
Let's assess the options. Matt Jarvis may have pace but there is a reason he doesn't get into the West Ham United side. Tyler Blackett also has pace but there's a reason he doesn't get into the Manchester United side. The centre-back is young and inexperienced - exactly what Sunderland don't want during a relegation battle.
And Joe Allen? You guessed it: there's a reason he doesn't get into the Liverpool team. It's a general lack of quality.
Indeed, Sunderland have already got the relegation ball rolling with the signing of Younes Kaboul. Adding the trio above would almost guarantee the Black Cats going down.
Understandably, then, fans responded to Gray's suggestions and the general consensus wasn't hard to predict. However bad things get at Sunderland, at least supporters don't have to put up with Gray being in charge of transfer dealings...
@mickygray33 Joe "crab" Allen? M'Vila is 10 times better than him! Not what we need. I'd rather give Watmore & Gooch games than sign Jarvis— Dan (@dan_safc3) August 28, 2015
@mickygray33 Matt Jarvis?? We don't need more wingers, we need a striker and some defenders.— Andy Hetherington (@_AHetherington) August 28, 2015
@mickygray33 jarvis finished. Blackett couldnt get in my birmingham team a year ago. Allen not good enough— chris corke (@chris_corke) August 28, 2015
@mickygray33 all over priced because they've played in England.— Grant Lagan (@GrantLagan) August 28, 2015

@mickygray33 joe Allen is a million miles away from a playmaker— Billy McGlennon (@chuckielufc) August 28, 2015
