Man left stumped after finding ex-Zimbabwe international Brendan Taylor asleep in his car

Who-zat in my car? Oh, it's just former Zimbabwe cricket captain Brendan Taylor...

We've all had a few too many drinks and woken up somewhere we didn't expect – like your mate's back garden – but we reckon not many have done this.

Former Zimbabwe cricket captain Brendan Taylor – who managed to have a brilliant World Cup this year – managed to wake up in... someone's unlocked Chevrolet Matiz!

The Nottinghamshire cricketer was found by a rather disgruntled gentleman in West Bridgford in Nottingham as he was getting ready to leave for work.

Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Michael Whitaker, 45, said: "Neither myself, the police nor Brendan knew what to do.

"I don't think he knew where he was but he was very apologetic and it quickly became clear that it was very innocent.

"Realising who it was made it even funnier because how often do you find an international cricket star asleep in your car?"

Taylor had helped his Notts side to a victory in their Royal London One-Day Cup quarter-final against Durham at Trent Bridge on Tuesday and went out to celebrate after the game. Now, according the the Nottingham Post, Taylor was on his way home when he decided to take refuge from some nasty rain in a car... as you do!

While this is a pretty odd story, we reckon some of the England lads will have woken up in stranger places when they went out to celebrate their 3-2 Ashes win over Australia last weekend...
