Don Hutchison praises Everton for their decision to not sell John Stones

The former Everton man has praised the Toffees for not selling John Stones to Chelsea.

Taking to his personal Twitter account, Premier League veteran Don Hutchison praised Everton for their decision to reject John Stones’ transfer request, and tell Chelsea that he is not for sale.

Stones has been linked with a big money move to Stamford Bridge for much of the summer, and with just days to go in the transfer window, the young defender handed in a transfer request to the Toffees management.

It was swiftly rejected by Roberto Martinez and Bill Kenwright, and they outlined their stance to not sell the 21-year-old whatever the price.

Hutchison believes the Merseyside club made the right decision in keeping ahold of Stones, even if Everton would have made a huge profit on his sale this summer.

He is one of the most talented young players in the Premier League, and in English football, and looks to have all the talents to potentially become a world class defender in the future.

He could fulfil this potential with Everton, and in just a few years they will be in ownership of a player truly at the top of his game.
