He said: “Everybody knows their situation. Maybe they will stay or maybe they will leave. I don’t exactly know what the final situation for these players is. But they are training well. They are happy to be here with me until the last moment. We will see in one week if they stay with the squad.”
With Vydra and Forestieri both yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, there are doubts about whether Flores will select them in his squad for the league campaign.
They both featured in this week’s League Cup loss to Preston North End, but did little to impress, and exit talk has been surrounding them for a number of weeks.
Forestieri has been linked with Leeds United, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post, whilst the Daily Mail claim a number of sides are after Vydra, including Nottingham Forest, Southampton, West Brom and Everton.
Both players have proven themselves in the Championship as talented players, and Vydra especially has built a reputation as a classy finisher far too good for that division.
However, for whatever reason, he has yet to get his chance in the top flight, and an exit before the close of the transfer window looks likely.
Flores has admitted that their futures have still not been decided, but is confident that a decision will be made to see them either stay or leave within one week, with Leeds and Forest circling the pair.
