The West Ham co-owner has taken to social media once more.
The Argentine is currently out injured but Gold has delivered the encouraging news that he expects him back soon - without being too precise in his estimation.
West Ham travel to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.
Yes I am expecting new signings before the window closes. I'm also expecting Carroll and Zarate to be back soon. dg https://t.co/1OIImBhfYn— David Gold (@davidgold) August 27, 2015
Meanwhile, the son of West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has taken to Twitter to commiserate the fact his brother has deactivated his own social media account.
Indeed, Dave Sullivan (Jr) closed his account due to the abuse he received from supporters. And Jack reacted with the following:
Sad day for us all today! Not only Nolan as left West Ham. My brother has left Twitter. Cheer your self up and watch #RiseOfTheKrays— Jack Sullivan (@jsullivanwhu) August 27, 2015
With all the tension between fans and the West Ham hierarchy at present, this weekend's Premier League clash at Liverpool takes on a new importance.
It may come too soon for Carroll or Zarate, though, while it will almost certainly come too soon for any new signings.
