Confirmed: Southampton line-up v Midtjylland - Koeman sticks with 5-3-2, Rodriguez starts

Here is how Southampton will line up for tonight's clash with Midtjylland.

Southampton starting XI: Stekelenburg; Martina, Fonte, Caulker, Yoshida, Targett; Romeu, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse; Pellè, Rodriguez.

Southampton substitutes: K. Davis, Cedric, Long, Mane, Tadic, Reed, Juanmi.

Southampton are in Europa League action tonight as they take on Midtjylland in the second leg of their play-off clash, with the group stage within touching distance.

The Saints could only muster a draw in the first leg, with Jay Rodriguez cancelling out a first half strike from former Saints youngster Tim Sparv.

After picking a 5-3-2 system away at Watford on Sunday, manager Ronald Koeman has seemingly gone with the same again tonight.

The back five of Cuco Martina, Jose Fonte, Steven Caulker, Maya Yoshida and Matt Targett will be looking to keep the Danish side out, whilst Jay Rodriguez partners Graziano Pelle in attack.

With Victor Wanyama out of the game, Koeman has gone with a midfield three of Oriol Romeu, Steven Davies and James Ward-Prowse.

Meanwhile, the likes of Sadio Mane, Dusan Tadic and Shane Long are all available from the bench if the Saints are chasing a goal late on.
