Sviatchenko is currently with Danish champions FC Midtjylland, and he was particularly impressive in their recent Europa League clash with Southampton when he was Man of the Match.
The second leg of that match takes place in Jutland later this week and a host of clubs from around Europe are due to be present.
But now interest from England is mounting, and it is not only West Brom who are taking a keen interest in the centre-half.
Sunderland, Aston Villa and Everton are all understood to be keeping close tabs on him, and Brentford are also very keen.
Brentford's owner Matthew Benham also owns Midtjylland and is understood to have made it known to Sviatchenko that he would like him at Griffin Park, if a Premier League deal fails to materialise.
