Savage taunts Villa fans on Twitter again after cup draw, they respond

The former Birmingham City midfielder boasted about his record against Aston Villa in derby games.

Robbie Savage donned his virtual Birmingham City colours on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, following a Capital One Cup draw that paired the Blues with local rivals Aston Villa.

Former Birmingham midfielder Savage originally joked that the visitors will have an easy draw when visiting Aston Villa.

And the pundit continued his taunts the following day on social media.

It all appeared light hearted on Savage's part, with no real intent to cause offence. But he was definitely looking to wind the Villa faithful up!

Indeed, the Welshman referenced the amount of games he won against Villa with Birmingham during his playing days, something that appeared to cause much laughter for him...

Harmless wind-up or not, though, Aston Villa fans hit back!

Plenty referenced the heavy defeats Savage would have taken against the Villans during his time at Derby County, while others reminded him of the time Dion Dublin unforgettably confronted him during a Villa clash.

There were also jibes aimed at Savage's decision to leave Birmingham for Blackburn Rovers - and jokes at the expense of Gary Rowett's current side. There is sure to be plenty more of the following as the cup derby draws nearer...
