West Ham are reportedly hoping to sign one of two strikers before this weekend's game against Liverpool.
The Hammers have strengthened almost every area of their side this summer, but new manager Slaven Bilic so far hasn't been able to bring in a new forward.
With injuries to Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate, Bilic has been left with virtually no striking options - especially with Diafra Sakho now being considered as a doubt for the trip to Anfield.
West Ham are desperate for even one striker to arrive before the transfer deadline, and steps are now being taken to solve their problems in the final third.
The Mirror report that West Ham are pressing ahead with deals to sign Spurs misfit Emmanuel Adebayor on loan, whilst Juve's Zaza would also be arriving on loan with a view to a permanent move next summer.
It's also noted that the Hammers are hopeful that at least one of the duo will put pen to paper at Upton Park ahead of this weekend's game against Liverpool, though there is no guarantee about that.
Adebayor, 31, has no future at Tottenham, and a move to West Ham would allow him to stay in London this season, whilst Zaza only joined Juventus from Sassuolo earlier this summer, but is out of favour already.
Either signing for West Ham would be a huge boost for Bilic, and with the report stating that the Hammers believe both deals are possible, fans may see a new signing leading the line this weekend.
