Arsenal linked £21.2m midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak rules out move on his Twitter account

The Polish international has been heavily linked with a move to North London.

Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak for some time now.

The aggressive holding midfielder has a reported £21.2 million release clause in his current deal and The Independent were reporting just a day ago that Arsenal planned on taking advantage of that fact and bringing the Poland international to North London.

However, despite the strength and frequency of such rumours the player himself has gone out of his way to confirm he is going nowhere this summer.

The Sevilla man has taken to his official Twitter account to send out this defiant message which, translated, reads:

“I stay at the Sanchez Pizjuan for next season.”

Arsenal have long been linked with a succession of holding midfield players. Despite the recent emergence of Francis Coquelin the club are still rumoured to hold a vested interest in improving that area of the first-team squad.

The Frenchman is playing well in the Arsenal midfield but there is still a need to improve the position with the potential arrival of a top class operator, much like Krychowiak.

However it now looks as though the Pole is happy to put the rumours aside for the upcoming campaign and focus on a good season with current club Sevilla.
