A selection of the latest stories in the media surrounding Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.

West Bromwich Albion have turned down a second bid from Tottenham Hotspur for striker Saido Berahino, the Baggies have confirmed on their official website

It has been reported that the offer was in the region of £22 million, with West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace saying their position remains unchanged.

The full quote given to their website, reads: "Our position remains unchanged. The sale of this player is not on our agenda."

Several reports, including one from The Guardian, have suggested that despite having his request for a transfer turned down by West Brom, Berahino said he was happy to play in their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea, but Head Coach Tony Pulis kept him out of the side.

Erik Lamela is attracting interest from Inter Milan, according to the London Evening Standard, with the Serie A side said to be keen on a loan deal for the Argentine.

However, it would be dependent on whether Roberto Mancini's side land their other main attacking targets. Juventus were said to be interested but could now cool their interest following the capture of Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea.

The Daily Mail suggests that Inter would be prepared to pay a £4 million loan fee for the season, and then a further £10 million to make the move permanent.

They also report that West Ham United retain an interest in signing out of favour striker Emmanuel Adebayor, while Aaron Lennon could end up at Everton having spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park.

The Guardian reports that Tottenham are considering a move for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi.

The player is valued at £15 million but old club Real Sociedad are said to be the favourites to land the player, who is surplus to requirements at Real. However, Sociedad want him on loan whereas Real want to strike a permanent deal for the midfielder.
