Sheffield Wednesday are poised to sign Norwich City striker Gary Hooper on loan and his Canaries team-mate Michael Turner on a permanent basis, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Sheffield Wednesday are locked in talks with Norwich to sign Hooper and Turner as they look to bolster their squad before the close of the transfer window.
Hooper and Turner currently both find themselves out-of-favour in Alex Neill's first-team plans at Carrow Road.
Striker Hooper made a 10-minute cameo as a substitute in the opening day defeat to Crystal Palace and has been left on the bench for the last two games.
Central defender Turner has found himself totally frozen out of the first-team picture and has not been included in the squad for any of Norwich's opening three Premier League outings.
A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring the pair's situation at Norwich and have expressed an interest in signing both players.
However, Wednesday are in pole position to land the duo as they look to build a side capable of challenging for promotion this season.
Hooper scored 12 goals for Norwich last season, while Turner spent the back end of last term on loan at Fulham making nine appearances after dropping out Neill's plans.
