Sporting Lisbon attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld has suggested on social networking site Twitter that he is not going to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to Portuguese publication O Jogo, Sporting want to send the 19-year-old out on a loan deal for the 2015-16 campaign.
The newspaper has linked the former Dundee United teenager with a loan move to Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
Gauld, who joined Sporting from United in the summer of 2014, himself does not appear to be fussed about his future.
Over the weekend, the highly-rated Scotland Under-21 international posted the following cryptic tweet, suggesting that rumours about him leaving Sporting on loan are not true.
Shouldn't believe everything you read in the papers..— Ryan Gauld (@ryangauld46) August 22, 2015
While Sporting may want to send Gauld out on loan, there is little reason for Celtic to take him on board.
The Bhoys do not need another young attacking midfielder, as they have enough quality in that department.
